Church Building Refurbishment
In
early
2014,
a
Quinquennial
Building
Inspection
of
the
church,
a
Grade
II
Listed
Building,
identified
some
significant
repair
and
refurbishment
works
requirements
relating
to
the
stonework
of
the
church
–
particularly,
the
building’s chimneys, elevations, coping stones and boundary walls.
Following
some
significant
fund-raising,
the
work
was
undertaken
at
the
church
between
2014
and
2016
by
Wells
Masonry
Services
Ltd,
overseen
by
KBW Property Ltd.
The extensive works were funded by gifts and grants from the
following individuals and organisations:
Bourton-on-the-Water Baptist Church Members and Friends
The W J B Halls Trust
The Listed Places of Worship Grant Scheme
The Gloucestershire Environmental Trust
(Funded from Landfill Tax contributions donated by Cory Environmental)
The Gloucestershire Historic Churches Trust
The Garfield Weston Foundation
The Cotswold District Council Community Projects Fund
Bourton-on-the-Water Parish Council
We
have
been
very
richly
blessed
by
the
significant
personal
donations
from
Church
Members
and
friends,
together
with
the
generous
grants
received
from
all
the
above
organisations,
without
whose
very
generous
support,
this
important project could not have been undertaken.

This Season
In
the
current
season
of
caution
and
lockdown,
we
have
decided
to
suspend
all
our
activities
and
gatherings
in
the
church
building
and
move
to
online
meetings.
Once
the
the
pandemic
conditions
and
Government
rules allow, we will resume as many of our regular activities as we can.
