Response to COVID-19

The Government regularly updates their advice regarding coronavirus. We urge everyone to keep up to date with the latest advice, which can be found at: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/

Bourton-on-the-Water Baptist Church services and activities:

The advice is now that people should avoid meeting together wherever possible and this will have an impact on meeting on Sunday and at other times during the week. Therefore we have decided that:

Bourton-on-the-Water Baptist Church Sunday services - and all other gatherings - will

not now take place.

We have decided to take the step of broadcasting a daily thought at 11 am everyday. It is vital that we maintain our links as church and keep our attention focused on Jesus at this challenging time. The thought for the day is intended just to maintain some sort of normality and to hopefully provide some encouragement on a daily basis. The link to access the broadcast is:

The broadcast will stay on the website for 14 days, so you don't necessarily have to watch live if the time is inconvenient. If you have any queries or indeed prayer requests or you just want to talk please do not hesitate to contact me through the normal channels. We are also looking at the best ways to offer support to those who need it, both in our church family, as part of the Food Bank and generally in the Bourton area. If you need support, or would like to join us in supporting those who need help at this time, please let Rev Ian Fowler know on 07906 518316. We acknowledge the Lord’s sovereignty in and through all things and pray using the words of Paul to the church in Ephesus: For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love. I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21 God bless you all Rev Ian Fowler, the deacons and all at Bourton Baptist Church.
